1 whole chicken
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Place the chicken breast-side down on a cutting board. Using sharp kitchen shears, cut along each side of the backbone and remove it.
Flip the chicken over and press down to flatten it.
Rub olive oil all over the chicken and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and rosemary.
Place the chicken on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 45 minutes or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
