  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add walnuts or pecans to the batter.
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped cream for an indulgent treat.
