  • 500 grams chicken breast, diced
  • 200 grams plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • 400 grams canned tomatoes
  • 200 ml coconut milk
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken, yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, paprika, and turmeric. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté onion until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in marinated chicken and cook until browned.
  5. Add canned tomatoes and coconut milk, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Season with salt, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight.
  • Serve with basmati rice or naan.
