A delicious take on the classic carbonara, using turkey bacon and chicken ham for a lighter twist.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams turkey bacon
  • 150 grams chicken ham
  • 250 grams spaghetti
  • 3 large eggs
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 50 grams grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, and grated parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Drain the spaghetti and add to the skillet with turkey bacon and garlic.
  5. Remove from heat and quickly mix in the egg and cheese mixture, stirring to create a creamy sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Ensure the pan is off the heat when adding the egg mixture to avoid scrambling the eggs.
  • You can substitute with regular bacon if preferred.
