  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add butter and onions, cooking until caramelized.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for a minute.
  4. Add the beef broth gradually, whisking until smooth.
  5. Mix in the cheeses until melted and creamy.
  6. Fold in the cooked macaroni and crispy turkey bacon.
  7. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.
  8. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
