A delicious and hearty creamy sausage rigatoni meal, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Add the Italian sausage to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks until browned.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and dried basil; combine well.
  5. Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a bit of heat, add red pepper flakes to the sausage while cooking.
