Ingredients

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, followed by half of the cheese and half of the turkey bacon.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and bacon.
  6. Pour the cream mixture over the top and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving to allow it to set.
